As a writer I often get the question: “What are you working on?” There are two possible answers. “I’m working on xyz” or: “Nothing“. My answer this days is the latter. It’s not that I don’t have ideas for new stories. I just need some time after I finish a book to gather myself up, to fill myself with fresh energy, and to live a life outside my head. I also have a lot of work with my publishing house, selling books, and my daily job is also on the menu. So I don’t have as much time for writing as I would like to.
Actually the fact that I’m not writing doesn’t mean that nothing’s going on with my books. Sunčan Stone is translating my last novel 720 Heartbeats. If everything goes according to plan, it will be available on Amazon this December. I have to say loud and clear that I’m not translating this book just so I could put it in my CV. I’m doing it to make it. To present myself to global audience. I can make it, or I can fail. But because I believe in myself and because I know my potential I am confident that I’ll do well. If not with this book, surely with one of the next. And if I don’t make it? Then I’ll try gardening 🙂
Oh yeah, one more thing. I’m going to compete in a flash fiction contest. Me and 36.000 other writers 🙂 100-word short story is quite a challenge, but I’ll do my best. Wish me luck. And if you write, you should enter as well. Challenges are meant to be challenged.
