As I’m writing this post Alibi Festival is still going on. On Friday evening we picked the titles of our short stories and yesterday was all about writing. And excellent food. And wine. And cigarette brakes. Silvija Hinzmann actually saved the day as I forgot my cigarettes at the hotel and she gave me a whole pack. Cigarettes are bad for you so don’t start. But if you’re already a smoker, you understand the point of a cigarette break. But enough about unhealthy living, let’s focus on writing.
Alibi is actually an international Crime/Noir festival. I had no idea what noir was until Renato Bratkovič, the founder of the festival, tagged my last novel a cyber noir story. So he invited me to this festival and here I was, a noob in noir fiction, unwraping the paper with a title on it. You only die once. Promising title which was (hopefully) followed by a good story. The second short story in my life but without doubt the best one 🙂
Today we’re presenting our stories to the public. In a wine cellar. That should be fun. Actually this whole weekend was (and still is) and I’m very happy that I’m part of it. Lovely experience!
